Jérémy Briand at Science & Cycling 2026 in Barcelona
Jérémy Briand represented our lab at the 11th Science & Cycling conference, held in Barcelona on July 1-2, 2026, a few days before the Tour de France Grand Départ in the same city.
The endurance index applied to prolonged cycling
Jérémy delivered an oral presentation titled Péronnet and Thibault’s endurance index predicts maximal aerobic power deterioration over prolonged cycling duration, in collaboration with Frédéric Grappe and Victor Scholler (Université Marie et Louis Pasteur, Groupama-FDJ cycling team), Guy Thibault, and Jonathan Tremblay.
His work shows how the endurance index from the Péronnet-Thibault model predicts the deterioration of maximal aerobic power over prolonged cycling efforts. This approach extends the bioenergetic modeling research conducted in our lab as part of his doctoral thesis.
The Science & Cycling conference brings together researchers, coaches, and professional teams each year around the latest scientific advances in cycling.
Congratulations to Jérémy on this presentation on the international stage!
